The Ochoa family is the photographers dream, they are clients who frequently get their family photos taken and really participate in positive way to help produce good photographs. The family had briefed (err, warned?) me on the difficulties of getting the entire crew of 5 to be composed for the group shots. I laughed it off and didn’t think it would be a challenge in the least. I mean, after all, we primary do wedding photography and what is more high pressure then that?
Well, I learned a few things that day, LOL. Mostly about how sticks are more fun to kids then the most expensive toys on the planet, and second is that photographing family is a lot of fun and some of the best work we were able to produce was from crazy random events – not the staged or posed photos that we had planned on taking. I think my personal favorite of the series is the group shot under the tree, the one were Jose is .00001 seconds away from a foot to the face. Ahhh, good times :)
