For several months, I had really been looking forward to this particular engagement shoot. When I first met with Shannan and Ernie regarding their wedding photos, we were brainstorming on a fun location for their engagement shoot. They mentioned that their first date was at the Sacramento Zoo. I jokingly said, why not go there? We laughed about it and I was skeptical that the Zoo would permit us too shoot there without a big hassle.

To make a long story short, I contacted Marissa at the Sacramento Zoo and she was very receptive to having us shoot there. I informed Shannon and Ernie and the date was set for a First Date themed engagement!
